I have downloaded the Firefox Browser to use.
Now, I want to know how to (turn off) or (disable) Internet Explorer 7 so that it cannot be used. I would like to keep it in my programs, just turned off.
What are the steps to do this?
Thank you.

You can't turn it off as far as I can see, you have to remove it from your programs/computer completely. This may mess up your Windows updates. Try removing it and reloading. Hope this is helpful.

When you have more than one browser, it will usually pop up and ask if you want it to be the default browser when you start it.

Otherwise, look at this:

You can right click on your little computer pictures at the right bottom task bar, an option should come up to disable, click that and that's it. If it doesn't come up it's either disabled or it's the other computer picture that you right click on.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe you should probably keep it somewhere on your desktop in order to use Windows Update.
