I have a custom built computer which I'd like to install Hackintosh/Mac OSX on. I am wondering if it would be compatible. This is my first time installing OSX on a PC and therefore I'd appreciate any help I can get. :)

These are the parts I have:
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V LX, socket - 1155
CPU: Intel Core i5 3450 @ 3.10 GHz
RAM: Corsair XMS3 1600 MHz 8GB Vengeance CL9
GPU: Gaiward GeForce GTX 670 2GB
Power supply: Corsair TX V2 650 W PSU
DVD drive: Sony DVD RW AD - 5280S
CPU cooler: Corsair Cooling Hydro H60 CPU Cooler
HDD (only for storage of pictures and such): Western Digital Desktop Green 1TB SATA 3.0

Windows 7 64 bit is also installed on a Corsair SSD.

Mountain Lion is what I'd prefer but Lion would work as well.

Are there any tutorials for this type of build? I've found one using the same motherboard but not the same GPU. Would that work?

Hi Martin.

The system is fully compatible with your hardware.

I recommend iATKOS 10.8.2

Just enable AHCI mode in bios and when you begin the installation and see a progress bar, press F8 and type "-x" without quotes. ( NOTE: Only the first boot )

greetings and congratulations on this incredible hackintosh.

Anything with an I5 or higher rocks for Hackentosh!!! Google has a sight that shows all about the 0 config solution for Hackentosh on I5 processors. It's a distro you can download and install without having to do any kernel config or hacking or anything stupid like that!!!! Totally rocks and runs rock solid too!!!!!

Note you'll need to get a copy of Snow Lion I think it's like $30,00 to actually buy the retail copy of it though...Totally worth it!!!

System has been confirmed to work 100% and 10.9 Mavericks. Using the MyHack method. This is the tutorial I used: http://xiaopan.co/forums/threads/create-a-hackintosh-with-asus-motherboards.4591/ You might have issues with the GPU as mine was ATI. I found it was much easier to install Mavericks than it was with Mountain Lion and works better as there is no sleep issue.

It looks like your motherboard would be fine, but your GPU would not.
