Question:
Can't extract ISO files?

I've downloaded some ISO files to play on my ps2 emulator. I've been able to download, extract, and successfully play one game. Since then, every single ISO file I've downloaded (like ten different games, all downloaded from 3-4 different sites each) I have not been able to extract. I am using the free version of winzip, which might be my problem, but it worked the first time. One thing I find strange is I can use winzip to open the zip file and look inside at its contents, but when I try to extract it's contents and move them out, it gives me an error message. I click "view output" and it says extracting file to desktop, use path:yes overlay file:no, extracting file, error:data error. At first I thought, "ok this happens, maybe it's a corrupt file". But this has happened to like 40 different files so far. It just won't work for ANY of them. Please help!

use 7zip http://7-zip.org/ its completely free and open source.

dont listen to above. you do NOT mount isos to play on emulators...

as for the file being corrupt, do not use wifi and try to find a source which allows for faster downloads.

The long the file takes to download, the higher chance corruption will happen. (from what ive noticed), and if using wifi and your network loses packets or disconnects even for a second or two, it can corrupt the downloads.

The reason is because most games are split into multiple file archives, and then compressed further into another file archive. (which is bad to do, but it does make it take up less space, which is what is important for hosting the files)

You might be using the trial version of WinZip. I suggest you to use WinRar instead. You only get the trial version of it. Here is a link of its official site:

http://www.rarlab.com/download.htm

The benefit of using WinRar is that even its trial period over you can still use it and extract the files from it. Just right click on the .RAR extension type file which you want to extract it and select the option "Extract files." I don't know if WinZip allows the extraction after the trial version is over.

You dont need to extract them, you have to mount them as a virtual CD. Use a program like HaoZip

Try another zip program as it may be nothing more than an issue of compatibility. Best wishes to you :)
