Yes, vista does suck a nut.. .and I tried it to, I used it for 7 months until it was unbearable. Vista uses so much RAM for no reason and it pisses me off...With vista my computer idled at 1.3gb of ram with nothing open! with XP it idles at 220mb with virus protection!! XP is so much more efficient and is so stable, so why would you want to waste your money and upgrade? The only people who know vista sucks are people who actually have knowledge about computers. People who don't know **** about computers won't care about how efficient vista is or how many bugs it has. And the people that complain about XP being slow, is only because they are stupid. For example, they will have a single core processor, 512mb ram, and xp that was pre-installed 5 years ago, and they have no virus protection. The people that choose XP over vista are the people that are smart and know what's good. Who cares if vista looks cool and is shiny. The XP Royale theme looks fine to me...So basically, I'm going to use XP until 2014 when it is not supported anymore. or if I like windows 7

i think that you are lying. you dont sound like a person that knows anything about computers, and to downgrade from vista to xp is not a simple matter of putting in an xp disk and going through a wizard, you have to make a new partition on your hdd, load up xp on that, during that process, reformat the old partition, then (on xp when it loads) you have to combine the partitions back and format again, which then you can re-instal xp for good and be on your way. vista actually is not that bad if you had a computer that can run it. i was like you. my friend has a peice of **** laptop with vista (512mb ram) and it is so slow. then i got a computer (1.8ghz quad core proccessor, 4gb ram, 640mb video card) and i run vista fast as hell. so anyway, windows 7 comes out in july i do believe.

I hate it a lot.

* DOS windows are locked on American font.

* I can't open files with my desired editor by clicking ("open with" settings won't stick). A registry patch is needed to fix it.

* My folder settings are lost or scrambled after a while.

* Many things are changed for the sake of changing alone, not for improved functionality.

* Search functions (text in files) works *really* lousy.

On the other hand: it has *never* worked on any Windows product ever!!!

...And about a million other things works really lousy.

XP was much better.

MS should not be allowed to develop any new operating system until they have fixed all the bugs in the old ones...

purchase a psor a Mac! whilst are Microsoft going to resign treating human beings like sheep who persist with their each and every whim and take their rights and expertise away with each and every incarnation of homestead windows? Conversely: whilst are human beings going to take their heads out of their ***** and comprehend how they are being duped, examine classified ads/comments of homestead windows with the aid of the years, then examine what subject concerns 'actual' purchasers (try boards) have had, how they have not been addressed by employing MS, how their secure practices has been eroded by employing undesirable judgements by employing MS and how with Vista they at the instant are attempting to place a lid on the hollow they have dug with the aid of the years.yet in actual MS sort they are dealing with result as a substitute of reason. stick to Win 2000 or XP (possibly MS will restoration some extra of the bugs in it earlier it quite is consigned to the scrapheap, BTW did you comprehend that MS is scrapping help for Vista in 5 years time?) There are a great form of skins and subject concerns plus a number of of ability-apps that provides you with a computing adventure reminiscent of/extra beneficial than Vista with out having to purchase something new, except you prefer to get a clean computing device then why waste the flexibility it provides you with working a leaky ability hungry OS like Vista, use that ability for velocity and relaxing as a substitute. don't be blinded by employing the hype, overview, examine, ask annoying question first.(do exactly no longer ask them off the salespeople who're attempting to sell you the sunlight, moon and stars.)

I actually REALLY like Vista and perfer it over XP, and I've used XP since it first came out (SP0).

Windows 7 looks cool, but there isn't an official release date yet. You can always use the Beta though.

Nobody wants to vent any hate about Vista.

Everone stopped doing that about a year ago.

Its tedious now.

Windows 7 is due out in late 2009 or early 2010

uh to me vista is pretty much the same as xp. just had some minor driver problem which is now fixed. vista just looks a little more prettier than xp.
