Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 Requirements?

Question

I have a PC and I am curious as to how my specs will fare with running Premiere Pro CS5 and After Effects CS5.

Windows 7 64 bit
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 (2.66 GHz)
EVGA 750i SLI FTW ATX Intel Motherboard
EVGA nVidia GeForce GTS 250 1GB
4GB Dual Channel
1TB HDD
DVD-RW

Is my set up powerful enough to run either of these programs?

You can run the programs, but the amount of RAM isn't enough to run them smoothly.

A Mac Mini is NOT best suited for Premiere Pro CS5, although it would probably work O.K. Video editing requires a lot of computing power; when you don't have enough be prepared for long renders, sluggish performance and occasional crashes. A lot depends on what kind of footage you're trying to edit. If it's standard def DV, a Mac Mini would probably be fine. But if you are going HD, a more powerful system would be very beneficial. If it were me I would purchase a PC running Windows 7 to get more bang for my buck. If you do get a Mac Mini, I would install Premiere on the internal C drive and then buy a firewire 800 7200 RPM external hard drive to store the videos. Don't go with USB because of the very limited transfer speed.

I'm sure you're computer is very powerful enough to run both programs.

I have the master collection myself. And my computer is no where near your settings but runs PERFECTLY fine.
