Does anyone know of an easy to install program that will allow me to watch movies on a solaris 10 operating system?
I've heard of MPplayer but I'm not sure which file to download.

We do have a bunch of video players for Solaris

Here's a page discussing mplayer for Solaris

Try compiling Mplayer on Solaris, add codecs.

http://www.mplayerhq.hu/design7/dload.html

There are no pre-compiled packages for Solaris.

But, I'm pretty sure it can be done as I've seen this player

on some Solaris machines.

Also, try VLC from here

im sure solaris supports rpm files, so go with one of them...they are quite simple to install

I think an easy way to do this would be to install VLC Player as it includes a whole host of codecs http://www.cyberciti.biz/tips/download-of-the-day-vlc-media-player.html
