I have a new ACER Aspire 6930G laptop which is running Vista Home Premium and MS-Office 2007. When I am using MS-Word of any other part of Office and I click on the Help "?", a notice appears to tell me that "one or more of the Help files are damaged and need repairing". How do I make that repair to the Help files?

This should work:

Start - Programs - Microsoft Office - Microsoft Office Tools - Microsoft Office Diagnostics.

With 2007 the best way of using help is pressing F1. However in the event that this won't work either, click on Office Button, top left of quick access toolbar, down and across to Word Options, click on Resources button bottom option in left pane, then in right pane click on the Diagnostics button and hopefully it will be rectified. If not, I suggest you re-install, presumably you have the CD if it is genuine version and not just trial.

occasion: be conscious 2003 created ".record" information by default. by default, be conscious 2007 creates ".docx" information. yet that does not imply something on your case. 2007 can study and handle and edit each thing, even back to ninety 5. it quite is the case for excel and powerpoint besides. Theo nly situation you ought to fret approximately is while you're making plans on giving a record to a chum with 2003 or carry it to college that has 2003, in case you are trying this you ought to bypass to "shop As" and alter the record type to compatibility for 2003. desire it quite is apparent
