those who r using windows 7, how is the beta version running. does the beta have any problem?

who r running win 7, do u feel any problem ? i heard win 7 is 70% faster than vista. is it tru or rumor. finally should i go for vista ultimate 64 bit or win 7 64 bit ? any help with a little detail will be appriciated.

I'm running it under VMware on my iMac. I honestly haven't noticed a lot of speed difference between it and Vista, but then I am running it virtually.



I have noticed you get less annoying security pop-ups. So that's a good thing.



My advice to you is to go for Win7. Not because it's faster, but because MS will almost certainly stop selling Vista PDQ. It's days away from becoming a legacy product.

i like windows 7 beta 32bit i haven't many problems

it is faster than xp and vista but vista was faster than xp

i will download windows 7 RC tomorrow

Microsoft has announced that the Release Candidate version of Windows 7 will be available to the public as a free download on May 5. And since the RC version seems to be pretty much finished (I have not tried it), then it's essentially giving it away for more than a year: as mentioned earlier, it won't expire until 1 June next year.

Yes it is totally basic vista engine and more faster than vista as it use main memory not the secondary memory of the system.

Windows 7 is definitely much smoother than Vista. I'm not sure I would say it's 70% faster, but it does simply feel like it "hiccups" less. You should definitely wait for Windows 7; do not buy Vista now. In fact, a public releases candidate will be available, without download limitation tomorrow. My configuration is very similar to yours (same processor, Intel mobo, 4GB RAM).

first of all your not talking about World of Warcraft which the previous posters couldn't grasp, but it is true u should move towards the final release and ditch beta, but something to try is to right click on war3 or the shortcut and go to compatibility tab and check off "Run this program in Compatibility Mode" and choose an older OS like Win XP SP2 and then check off run this program as administrator

but still its beta

rc1 will be out on the 5th

rc being release canadite 1

i have it running on a 1.4ghz with 1 gig o ram

and its quit fast

drivers are a issue for the video

being intel and a little older

IE8 Beta sucks cuz when i start it, it crashes and i have to open it using google talk and it works, so i recommend you to stick with IE7.
