This behavior can occur if you use an incorrect version of the Command.com file. For example, this issue is known to occur if you use a Command.com file included in Microsoft Windows 95, dated 7/11/95. To resolve this issue, replace the Command.com file in the Winnt\System32 folder with the same file from another computer that is running Windows NT Workstation 4.0 or Windows NT Server 4.0, and then make sure that there are no Command.com files dated 7/11/95 on the computer. You can also replace the Command.com file on the computer with the same file on the Windows NT installation CD-ROM.

hit the homestead windows key + r provides you with the run field. or goto initiate and click run interior the run field form cmd. which will pull up the the command instantaneous. I additionally looked up the bcc32 and that i'm getting that this is the Borland C compiler. in case you dont have that then pass seek and acquire it. to point out the ms-dos instantaneous nonetheless exist in homestead windows xp. the command instantaneous is the ms-dos instantaneous. whilst homestead windows first began each and every of the some time past to homestead windows 3.a million the dos instantaneous grow to get replaced to MS-DOS instantaneous. the ms-dos stands for microsoft disk working device. that's certainly have confidence be that the ms grow to be extra so microsoft does no longer get in worry for copywright infringement.

Before you consider any of the other suggestions to date, try running the affected program in "MS DOS Compatibility" mode.

Rt-click on the executable of the program, select the Compatibility tab and configure your special settings.
