Is there a way to change a specific word-color in Microsoft Word?

Hello!
I'm writing a script and every time I use the word 'Blackout' it'd be so convenient if it would change to a different colour, lets say blue. Is this possible? Or perhaps everything inside [ x ]? Please let me know? Thanks!

Yes - in a word document, type the word how you wish it to appear (like size/colour). Highlight the word and then go to the Autocorrect Options (where it is depends on which version of Word you are using). The formatted word should have appeared in the 'with' column of 'replace text as you type'. Now type the word in the ;replace' column and click add. Now every time you type that word the formatted version will appear.

Note - this works in Word 2010 but I haven't tried it in earlier versions.

I don't think it can change automatically as you type, and the fastest way I know of to change it before you type is to click a Style. And you have to click back to the normal text again afterwards.

Highlight the word and change the colour. Keep it highlighted, then click Styles and Formatting, which is one of the icons somewhere along the top of Word in or near the middle, and give the highlighted text a name. Don't tick anything.

You also have to empty everything in the Styles list before you create one of your own, which you do by clicking the Customise link at bottom.

It may be possible to attribute the format to a mouse click or to a keyboard shortcut. Ctrl or Alt then B turns on bold print and Ctrl or Alt then Space turns it off.

Type first, format later.

When you are finished press Ctrl-H for Find and Replace. Type "Blackout" in the Find box. Type "Blackout" in the Replace with box and the click on More, Format and Highlight.

EDIT: If you want to just change the font color, while in the Replace with box, click on More, Format, Font and select the font color that you want. This will automatically make the change you want.

Why not use the Highlighter and change it to the colors you want? Check the image attached.
