After the Windows Desktop shows up about 30 seconds or so, my computer's CPU boosted up to 100%. I opened up Task Manager and saw that svchost's CPU usage is 99%.
What can I do to stop this and increase the start up performance of my computer?

Try download process manager, it will give you a more detailed description of what's "in" svchost.

Then see what's slowing down your PC and fix it!

The file Svchost.exe is filed in the directory %SystemRoot%\System32.

At startup Svchost.exe controls the section with services in your registry. Information is collected abt what services to start on your system.

There are also viruses know that use the name SVChost.exe...i got one myself lately...

So check your system with an updated virus scanner

use for example AVG 7.5
