Windows 8 Pro system properties window closes immediately after opening?

Question

I am unable to access system properties of my windows 8 pro. When i right click on My Computer icon and click Properties, System Properties window open for a second and immediately closes. I have the same problem even if i try to open System Properties from Control Panel. How do i solve this problem without doing system restore.

I am having the same exact problem, only it takes about 5 to 7 seconds for it to close itself on my pc. Hopefully someone will know the cause and solution for this problem. It also shows that my version of windows isnt activated even though I am not getting any watermark logos on the bottom right of the Start Screen telling me to activate windows. So it seems that I'm "half activated" (lol) all of a sudden.

im also having the exact problem and I think it has to do with running the windows 8 activator. This activator activates the windows alright but brings about this little problem.

Working on a solution and will get back to you guys shortly

It's due to KMS activation error. see the product ID is not available there. when trying to retrive the product id, the error occurs. to fix unstall pirate activation using KJ starter. good luck!
