Why doesnt my videos upload to Windows Movie Maker?

I have a Canon HG10 Hardrive Video Camera, for somereason it doesnt allow me to upload the videos to windows moviemaker. My camera Uploads MTS and SCN files onto my computer, I changed a few to MPG just like people said over the internet and that doesnt seem to work, any fast help would be fine, I need it for an art project do in two days :(

windows movie maker only supports avi, mpg, m1v, mp2, mp2v, and mpeg. try converting your video to the said formats other than mpg. or if it is possible and the only converter you have is just for mpg, try converting it to the oldest kind of MPG. if not try downloading some converters online. softpedia has lots of freewares, a trusted site that is virus-free.

you need a mac.



if u can't get it to work maybe upload it to youtube. it works at most schools on a teacher account.
