Where can I download the old version of Limewire?

Question

I had to do something on my computer and it got rid of limewire and itunes, so when i went to re-download itunes I had no songs! last time this happened and when it got rid of itunes and not limewire I still had all of my songs. so i went to download limewire from their site and the version i downloaded was 4.18 and it had none of the songs i had previously donwloaded from it in the library. so i need a link that works where i can download the old version of limewire 4.17, or someone that can tell me how to get my songs back. THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

www.oldversion.com will have old versions probably all the way back to 1.0



Usually they archive every version as it comes out.



This still probably wont solve your problem. The thing is, when you download things in limewire, it adds them to your limewire library, but it also has an mp3 copy somewhere on your machine. Unless you reformated your PC, or deleted the folder, your mp3's are probably still hanging around somewhere, but the new version of limewire doesn't know that they were previously downloaded. Just do a search for some of the filenames and hope they are still there.

I don't think Limewire - as a piece of software - is illegal. It's how the software is used that can be illegal (which is the case more often than not). If you use the software to share files that you are legally entitled to share there is not a problem. But if, for instance, you share copyrighted music then you are doing something illegal.

If you have a good computer with some good memory it should save your songs and still have them on there.But afterall, you cant download the old version.
