Vista will work just fine if:

A) You aren't using the broken old versions :(

B) You don't have the bare minimum specs needed (don't use 512mb's of ram, thats computer suicide)

Vista works fine, just don't do any hardcore gaming until better drivers come out

My last roommate installed a pre-release version and it hogged down his game frame rate, making it all choppy because it was trying to manage memory. Apparently, Vista runs off this concept that memory is most efficient when 100% of it is used at all times and that there's no reason to deallocate memory unless you have new information to write over it. That's what he tells me anyway. Screwed up World of Warcraft though.
