I tried to download and install Plan3D\Floorplanner. When the system try to run Plan 3D, the msg I get from one particular program is this..:"Product: Plan3D -- Error 1722. There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor. Action _C7AC21C0_6D3E_4630_AF6C_8E724 6C43EB6,
location: C:\Program Files\Plan3D\Floorplanner\Plan 3D.exe, command: -i"."The installer interrupted before Plan 3D would be installed. You need to restart the installer to try again".Tried a couple of things from the threads I found here, but i'm still have problems with windows installer. I have
tried the "msiexec /unregister" and "msiexec /regserver" things. I have re-downloaded and installed it as an automatic update. I'm running window xp professional edition with Service pack 2 (as far as i'm aware) w/ Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1: KB893803. Any help would be greatly appreciate

You may have tried it already, but make sure you dont have an anti-virus app going, or something like a registry/file monitor. Some installations will fail because there is a check going on that causes a problem in the install. With one part of it failing without the proper error, the install just sees that "it failed".

You may not have administrator privileges, and it could also be a problem with hard drive corruption or fragmentation. If you were previously able to install software without any problems, you should run CHKDSK /F on your hard drive, then run the disk defragmenter.
