External hard drive 1 TB stop appearing in windows 32 bit system after formatting it in mac os x mountain lion?

I format my external hard drive AData 1 TB n mac os x mountain lion and it is properly working in mac but it stop appearing in windows 32 bit system. It properly work in windows 64 bit system. i format the hard drive in windows 64 bit system but it is still not appearing in windows 32 bit system. I couldn't find a way to resolve it that why this is happening. Please do your opinion for that. Thanks.

There is hardly anything useful in the other two answers.



You are mistaken about the 32-bit vs 64-bit response. The bandwidth of the OS does not affect drive format use in the least.



Windows can use an external drive only if it has Master Boot Record partition scheme and either NTFS format or some version of FAT format.



If the drive had MBR scheme before it was formatted in Mac OS, it can be formatted NTFS for use with Windows and it will work perfectly with all "bit" versions of Windows.



If the drive's partition scheme was set as GUID in Mac OS, you must remove that to add MBR partition scheme.

You won't be able to read the drive on a 32 bit system, it's written in 64 bit system. You might want to explore for an application to install on Windows-32 that would some how convert the data being read to 64 bits as it read.

widnows CAN NOT read mac hard drives. once it are mac formatted it only work in mac FOREVER.



you must buy new hard drive for widnows.
