Can you get virus' from Limewire? I am planning to download it on my computer, but I'm scared it might all crash because of all those viruses.
My sister had limewire before, and it crashed her computer, so she took it off.
But I don't think she had any anti-virus thing.

But if you get some anti-virus, like Norton, doesn't Norton slowen your computer? I had AVG once and once I uninstalled it, my computer seemed to go faster.
Doesn't anti-virus programs slowen your computer?

DO YOU GET VIRUSES FROM LIMEWIRE?
IF SO, HOW BADLY DOES IT RUIN YOUR COMPUTER?
And if you uninstall Limewire, will your computer get back to normal?

Do you HAVE to have an anti-virus for Limewire's viruses to stop attacking your computer?

HELP PLEASE!
Please and thank you. (:

Limewire is a great program and when used correctly you don't have to get a virus.

When you want to download music or video's you are pretty safe .Only one thing you should know. Do not download any file of 1000kb or less. Not many people know that, but those files have or better said are a virus. When you download normal files and you by accident download an infected file, your antivirus program should find it and warn you.

From your question I understand, that you have no antivirus program on your pc. Before you do anything else, please download one as soon as possible. Avast free is a very good one and no it does not slow down your pc. Only when it does a scan it might infulence your pc a little.. Furthermore you should have a good antispyware program. There are also pleny of free programs. .

Before you open up Limewire again, make sure, that you have installed an antivirus program and an antispy program.

Without those 2 programs is is very very very dangerous to use internet or limewire or any other program.

Use limewire, but use it with care.

I love Limewire and I'm an avid user. If I want to download a music file I use Limewire always. you should get limewire too. It's a good peer to peer software if you have to download mp3, movies, videos or file. Limewire is a safe and reliable pogram but like all peer to peer program you have to be careful of what you are donwloading from it. You always have to be cautious about what you download. Don't use torrents/downloads from other sites, they might be backdoored.

This is dependent upon which antivirus software you're strolling. If your antivirus software has truly-time defense, it will have to examine the dossier as you reserve it from the Internet. Whether or now not you've gotten truly-time defense, it's nonetheless a well inspiration to experiment the dossier earlier than establishing it. Your antivirus software could have a facility during which you'll specify which dossier(s) you wish to experiment, akin to by way of determining documents from a record by way of clicking them; or, you probably ready to correct-click on the dossier within the Explorer window and opt for a deadly disease experiment from the context menu. Be cautious regardless that. Just for the reason that a dossier does now not include a deadly disease or computer virus does now not imply that it is wholly risk-free. Do now not run any software you down load until you're definite what it does.

Yes. You can still get viruses from Limewire. And loads and loads of spyware. I recommend using UTorrent (www.utorrent.com). Download the program and then you can download anything and everything you want through Pirate Bay (www.thepiratebay.org).

Pirate Bay allows you to see reviews of downloads from real people and ensures safety of downloads without viruses or spyware.

And you can download entire albums if you wish, whereas Limewire only allows for individual downloads.
