help with joomla installation process?

ok im new with all this stuff, but i downloaded joomla and was going through the installation process and there is a bit where you have to enter site name.
Is that the name of the website you intend to do or is it something else? Iam just confused because if you intend to do more than one website it doesnt make sence to enter the name of a website in the installation process.

for a second site you use a second joomla install, the name of the site is for that one site alone, the assumption is that you'll be setting up a blog type config for multiple sub domains.

Why would you want to have the same title on every website you install? It always makes sense to have a title per website.
