I just have to go and buy a new windows laptop for this application only. I have it running in my office and it is the primary accounting software that we are using to maintain data of 3 companies. Any help with installation on my Macbook Pro would be highly appreciated.

There was a new feature that came with 10.8 Mountain lion that is new to the mac operating systems that not very many people were aware of called the Gatekeeper. What I would recommend doing is if you can remove that app from your system and then re-download it and the fact that you are un-installing it would most likely fix it as well. You will want to go into the finder then go to download and remove anything haveing to do with it from there. Then if it was something that installed into the system you will want to open the applications folder and drag that app into the trash can. Once you have done all that you will want to empty out the trash deleting all items within. Then you will want to go to the apple logo and open the system preferences. In the first row towards the end you will see the option for security and privacy. Open security and privacy and unlock the lock in the bottom left corner with your admin password. Once unloced make sure that you are in the first tab of that section and you will see some chec boxes at the bottom. One will say allow downloads from any developer regardless of it identified or not. Once you have done that go ahead and close system preferences and go to you site and redownload your file or app, install if needed and see i that resolves what was going on You will also want to make sure that you are downloading the version desgined for a mac computer and not a windows system That should work if it doesnt let me know or if you would like you can give apple care a call at 1-800-my apple and tell them what steps you already did cause they will try and have you do those first
