iTunes is still on my computer, fully updated and full of my music. While cleaning up some files on the computer, I accidentally deleted some adaptive program that allows iTunes to recognize my iPod. When I plug my iPod in, iTunes didn't respond and my computer only viewed it as some outside source.

Does anyone know where I can reinstall the software that allows my iPod to be recognized? Or can anyone solve the problem? (uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes is my LAST resort).

PS: I'm not an idiot, so please respect my question and I will respect your answer.

Thanks in advance for the help.

your last resort is the only way to fix a program thats missing some of its components... i would say download iTunes again and install it, no need to "uninstall" maybe theres a repair option, most programs have that if the installer sees a prior installation

don't worry all your songs will be there when you reinstall...
