I canceled an installer with Task manager and it won't let me install it.?

Question

I tried to install pinnacle studio 12 and it froze. I used the task manager to exit out of it but every time i try to install it the installer says that i must complete the first one (that froze) before continuing.

You will need to uninstall pinnacle , go to start menu> control panel > add remove programs .



You should see pinnacle in the installed programs list even though it is not fully properly installed , click on remove and let the uninstaller remove it .



Then Reinstall the program again .

If you have an MSI file, right click it and if the menu has a Repair option, click it and see if it will fix the installation. If it won't repair the installation and the installation is a Windows Installer installation, run the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to delete any sign of the aborted installation. Although the utility was designed to remove Office installations, it can be used to remove installation information for any program installed with Windows Installer. After installing the utility, run it. If you see Pinnacle in the cleanup utility's list, highlight it and click the Remove button. Then attempt to run the installation again.

Go to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the botched copy of Pinnacle. This should clear it to let you try installing it again.



If that doesn't work then go to Start>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore, and restore your computer to a date before you first tried to install Pinnacle.

uninstall it first.then restart ur pc, then reinstall it,,,,,,,
