Now that the Debian based LMDE has been released, are you going to switch over to it? Or are you going to stick with your current install? I'm using Mint 9 (which is great), but I am considering a switch.

What are your thoughts?

These are exciting times indeed. I have already downloaded the DVD and will be giving it a go in a couple of hours on a spare Hard Drive.

At long last Mint would appear to be breaking free from the Ubuntu shackles.

It doesn't take distributions very long to follow what Debian is doing. If you read enough, most have their roots with Debian, especially the unstable distributions. I have used it from time to time. Unfortunately Linux Is Linux, they all have about the same base foundation and software. I really believe Linux can become the Operating System of the Future, but not until developers design software, similar to what MAC has created.
