Name of a Data Recovery Program, that can at least give names of files lost if not restore.?

Question

Needed to buy a new burner. Put a bunch of unreplacable files on my mothers comp to use hers until then. Sister using her computer messed it up and my mother without thinking did a full restore to factory default despite knowing my files were on there.

I had "Gigs" of research on there and don't even have a list so I can re do what was still on there.
I tried the trial of the Stellar Phoenix program and it was a waste of time.

Again I need a program that will recover or at the very least list what used to be on the drive. Not a program that can do back ups in case I lose files. I've already lost the files.

I use AVG tune up it has loads of tool including file recovery it can be used to scan for certain files, file types, date of modification if it finds the file you can restore it relatively fast
