Microsoft says that Sharepoint converts the tasks to individual events, which would be fine for us, but I am not sure how to get it to be able to do this.

You are correct that you can not have recurring tasks in sharepoint v3. I just tried a few scenarios on my only externally facing sharepoint site http://www.findinfertilitydocs.com and here's what I've found:

- To Connect a task list to outlook: Go to you sharepoint task list, click actions and connect to outlook.

- Once connected to outlook you can create tasks directly for that sharepoint site, which won't give you the recurring option. You can also create tasks in the local outlook area and it will give you the recurring option. If you simply drag the recurring task over the sharepoint list tasks, it will bring over a single instance of the task (but none of the recurring information).

- If recurring is very important to have on your sharepoint site I recommend that you use the calendar function which does allow for recurring events. If you drag a task onto a sharepoint calendar then it does allow you to put in recurring information.

Christianity inclusiveness and questions for newcomers Theme I enjoyed most was a recurring theme someone else introduced asking religious questions in relation to Star Trek!
