alright so this is my first time doing any major work with installing an os, so i would i would consider my self new to the whole processl.
so my acer aspire one d150 came with windows xp service pack 3.
i decided wouldnt it be cool to have a duel booted netbook.
i ran ubuntu from usb drive and partitioned my hard drive and installed it.
everything worked fine untill several days later my windows would not load in regular mode or safe mode.
i figured i was screwed into buying a new copy of windows because i had neglected to make my restore disks.
so now i found out i can torrent for windows xp and use the key on the bottom of my laptop and have all my problems solved (legally).
i just need someone to talk me through the process
any help would be greatly appreciated.

well if you want to torrent xp then what you first need to do is download bittorrent, you can find it by googling it. then you need to download the torrent, to do this find a good torrent site (torrentreactor.net is a good one) then search for windows xp and download it. the file will most likely be an .iso file. once it has finished downloading burn the .iso file to a disk, then run the disk as if it was a normal windows xp disk and just follow the instructions like you are installing it for the first time.... good luck

This is the number one reason for a computer to crash. The files in your registry contain instructions for every program and application in your computer. When they become corrupted with errors or go missing, the computer will have a hard time running the programs, and crash as a result. It is highly recommended that you do not attempt to fix the registry yourself. The first thing you should do is to download a registry cleaner software and do a free scan on your computer.I should like to commend Registry Easy http://cleanup-comuter-run-perfectly.com to you ! The software will automatically detect all the known errors and missing entries, and then repair and restore them so you can have your computer running like new again. You can scan your pc for free! Good luck!

First as a warning on the digital disk. I even have tried that, it fairly is volatile and could desire a heavy slowdown on your laptop. surely the belief of two OS's on one laptop could make it extra stable in a fashion of talking. shall we are saying something is going incorrect on your homestead windows area. in basic terms bounce into linux and decide a thank you to restoration it. or you are able to pass vice versa (whether homestead windows does require extra desirable utility to recuperate linux). the only ingredient risky is the boot loader yet I even have not had any hardship with it and, if it fairly does get tousled, the stay CD for ubuntu has fixes for the boot loader. i'm curently twin booting my computer and it in hassle-free terms has approximately 20 GB. It has no longer failed as quickly as. in basic terms as a area word, repartioning is a splash volatile yet after it fairly is complete, if each little thing is unbroken each little thing resumes stability. Basicly, you're risk-free. stable success.
