how do you install a GTK 2.x theme in Ubuntu?

I'm running Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron. i wanted to install this GTK 2.x theme but i don't know how. here is the link to the theme http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/TechniX kami modified?content=86419

Any help is appreciated. thanks in advance.

copy the theme folder to /usr/share/theme.



Your theme .zip has two folders, metacity and gtk2.0, open the gtk2.0 and inside that is a folder, that's what you're going to copy.

follow these steps ...



1 ... download that theme somewhere ..



2 .. go to System/Preferences/Theme



3 .. click on install theme .. and navigate to that theme you have downloaded ..



4 .. apply



you are done ..
