I have about 100 jpg files needs to be converted to pdf. What is the fastest way to do it?
I thought "convert" command on terminal would work, but somehow it doesn't. I tried command "convert img031.jpg img031.pdf", but it says convert doesn't found something like that. Is there another command on terminal that converts files?
Thanks

For the sake of the batch files to go, I advise you to convert the PDF with a third party program like pdf maker. It support to batch convert from any other formats of course including jpeg to PDF files.

From my opinion, the conversion from JPG to PDF is more easier with relatively high quality.

You may search for free one, perhaps it has the page numbers limitation

Or you can try this one which i am using now!

Best luck to you!

You've seriously overcomplicated this. Open a jpg in Preview, select "Save As" from the file menu, and save it as a PDF. How you resorted to the Terminal before trying that is beyond me.

Use Automater to make a droplet application. It's pretty simple to create a droplet to automatically convert a batch of JPG files to PDF. You'll find that under Images/PDF.

Joe is a monumental moron. PDF is an open standard that was created by Adobe, not Microsoft, and Macs can use them just fine. Hell, Apple has based a portion of their desktop environment on PDF! iOS devices are restricted, but Macs are not. You can install any software you want and any OS you want on modern Macs, and I've had no problems finding converters for all kinds of file types on OS X. People believe their sales figures because they're real and Apple is making monstrous gobs of money. They reveal these figures at quarterly earnings announcements, and companies can get in VERY big trouble if they falsify quarterly figures.

You not liking Apple products does not mean that everyone shares your views. Take your irrational ignorance elsewhere.

It has to be done one at a time. PDF is an ADOBE creation not Microsoft.

You will need to Save As and then select PDF. You will need to use one of the many Adobe Softwares to do it or another that has the capability.
