First thing to say is that if you put too many actions into the startup folders of Photoshop it will slow both the app starting up and its use. Much better to set aside an area on your hard drive where you can put all these actions into, and then only move the ones you're going to use regularly into the startup folders.

Once you have all the actions in the one folder, then click on the small triangle up in the top right hand corner of the Actions palette. This will allow you to load the actions you want from wherever you have them saved. That way, you're only loading the actions you're using in that session, and not slowing the system down with actions you're not going to use for that project.

Good Luck

the way I do it with residing house windows CS4 (mac must be comparable)... you need to placed the action you recorded in a clean action Set - click on the little folder icon on the backside the the movements palette. you are able to no longer shop somebody action, basically action gadgets. click on the call of your movements Set interior the movements palette, then improve the sub-menu (click on the little arrow, precise precise of the palette) and go right down to 'shop movements'. that's suitable to shop action gadgets, Brushes and all different extras interior the Photoshop default region - you will then be waiting to load them as we communicate and extremely on the sub menus. they're all saved interior the 'presets' folder in the Photoshop application folder on your laptop. you are able to then shop those onto CDs/thumbpersistent/different no longer basic drives.

Are they save in a folder something like this?

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS5\Presets\Actions

If so, open up Photoshop, click on "Window" on your menu bar and

click on actions. They should be there.
