How to type text sideways on paint.NET?

But I wan't the text to be rotated 90 degrees or whatever. SIDEWAYS PLEASE.

Add a new layer, type your text on it. Then to rotate, there are 2 ways:
1)
Using the rectangle select tool, select the text, right click on you're mouse to rotate it.
2) Go to Layers > Rotate/Zoom, and use the ball/angle thing to rotate or add perspective to your text.

I am not familiar with paint.net, but in Photoshop, I would type the text the normal way, then rotate the text box.
Try right clicking in or on the text box, you might get a menu popping up that includes formatting functions such as rotate.

Rotate the image, then type in your text, then rotate the image back the other direction!
