Uninstall the program. or you can go to Start>Run>type msconfig.OK. Click Start-up tab. uncheck the box that has Sonic..etc or any word related to the program. Click Apply and OK.Restart your computer.

Uninstall the program - Start > Control Panel > Add remove programs.

OR

Keep the program from starting. Click on START > RUN type MSCONFIG into the text box and click OK.

When the system Configuration window opens go to the SERVICES TAB and see if the program is listed there. If it is UN-Tic it.

Then go to the STARTUP tab and see if the program is listed there, UN-tic it.

IN FACT - in the START UP TAB, the only item that needs to be ticked is your anti virus program. UN-tic everything else.

Click OK and reboot the PC.

go to start->run type msconfig.go to the start up tab.take the tick mark off the program you are reffering to.apply->ok.restart your machine for the changes to take effect.

If the program is a virus you won't see it in the listing of startup. In that case the above method won't work. Then see whether an anti virus like AVG(or whatever)can cure it.
