What can you tell me about the Tor Browser?

Question

I am thinking about installing the Tor Browser. What can you tell me about it? Is it safe to install or will it mess up my computer in anyway? Once installed can I uninstall it if I don't like it? I understand that it will keep my Browsing private will it do anything else?
Any information you can give me would be appreciated.

do NOT use tor. Its worse for your privacy then not using it.

The reason is anyone can set up exit nodes on tor (the last point in tor network where data is exchanged from tor to the server you are connecting to and first stop from server to you).



So by running an exit node you are basically able to collect data on people using tor.

The government has set up a lot of tor exit nodes.





If you would like better online privacy use a VPN. (dont use free ones).
