Hi. I need help. I have to make a movie for my class, it's 20 minutes long and I finished. I used Sony Vegas 12 to edit. It doesn't let me upload it to youtube cuz it's too long. So I want to put it in my flash drive. But I'm having trouble. Can anyone help me? Step by step?

Step 1: Save video to a folder.

Step 2: Open folder that you saved movie to.

Step 3: Insert USB drive into port.

Step 4: Assuming you're using windows, go to start menu -> computer -> (flash drive brand). Open that.

Step 5: Go back to movie folder, right click on movie file, cut, and paste into the flash drive folder in computer -> (flashdrive)

If you have already rendered the video into a format that will be able to play back on a PC at school (remember that the school may not use certain codecs that you might use at home, such as .mkv files), then you just need to copy it to your flash drive. To do this, just insert the flash drive into your PC. A popup should ask you what you want to do and should have the option to open the flash drive so you can view any files on it.

Once you have opened the flash drive folder, open the folder where your rendered video is saved, select the video file, hit CTRL+C (this copies it), then just click to select the flash drive folder and hit CTRL+V (this pastes the copied file). You should see a progress bar for the copying process (unless your PC is fast enough that it doesn't even show it) and a copy of the video file should be shown in the flash drive folder.

If you are still confused about copying files to a flash drive, just go to YouTube and search "copy files to a flash drive". Put "with your operating system" in the search if you want to be specific, such as "copy files to a flash drive with windows 7". Should be at least a few videos there that will show you how to do it.
