I installed beta 8 internet explorer and it's terrible .How do I get back to 6 or 7?

it's very slow and unresponsive and crashes a lot. what'w the best way back to normalcy and good quick responses.

Ran into this problem with my work machine once... Go into Control Panel -> Add and Remove Programs and unintstall IE8. This will revert you back to whichever IE version was originally on your machine. You can then download IE7 if you want it.



Simply downloading IE7 will NOT revert the changes. The installer will see a newer version and stop the install process. You must first uninstal IE8 as described above.

Start menu > Control Panel > Add & Remove programs > Remove IE 8 Beta & you will get the last version of IE that you had installed on your PC before you downloaded IE 8

You get IE 7 back the same way you got IE 8. Go to the microsoft website and download it, then install it.

Works fine for me. I can't say I like it that much better then 7. but its okay.



You uninstall 8 and you will get your old copy back.

Go to "Internet explorer download" there you will see a host of download available...including 7.

Uninsgtall IE8 beta. I know you cannot uninstall it, because it is part of window. By uninstlling it, you will roll back to the previous version. In your case it will be rolled back to IE7
