So I installed Google chrome 17 stable yesterday after doing a system re-install and found that my system went from 33.1 to 32.7 from being on chrome all day. My Linux mint 11 lxde system has a total of 37.8 but quickly went to 32.7 and I am just wondering if by any chance there is a better web browser out there. I know chromium is out there but its version 16 out of date to me since chrome is now at version 17 soon to be 18 next month. Is anybody having problems with chrome and memory and what web browser should I use more of.

What exactly are these numbers you are referring to? Spitting out numbers without units isn't very helpful.

listed below are the linux mint training for installation chrome. Scroll right down to "installation by way of utilising GUI" for the least puzzling approach. the 2nd link has a video. Ubuntu and linux mint are very comparable and the educational would be a similar for the two. good success

Google chrome has memory problems. Try opera at opera.com or Firefox.
