I neglected my Outlook Express inbox, and now have over 2000 unread e-mails. I use Yahoo e-mail instead, and I have my OE forward every to me for reading.

It's redundant I know, but is there a speedy way to delete my OE inbox ?

The above methods will work, but takes too much work and time to delete a lot of emails, like you have.

Here is the easy way to delete your Inbox.

Open Outlook Express and right click your Inbox folder in the left pane.

Click on Properties, and now you will see the path (location) where your Outlook Express files are stored. Write this info down.

Close Outlook Express

Go to this location on your hard drive, and delete "Inbox.dbx" file.

Thats it.

Next time you open Outlook Express a new Inbox.dbx file will be created automatically, and of course your Inbox will be new and empty, and you are ready to go.

Try this. Select one of the e-mail and then hit Ctrl + A. That should select all of the messages. Now just click the Red X and send them all to the Trash. Now empty the trash.

click the very top item, scroll to the bottom, hold shift, click the very last item, hit delete. or ctrl + a if you are going to be selecting all of them.
