This can be done with a plugin for your office that you can download from Microsoft at the link below. If you used the proper notation when you typed in your money, this gizmo will detect it and change it to what you want with the conversion rate as to how you set it all in one operation, quite painlessly

I dont know how you going to delete it. Find and replace may work in replacing it, but to replace it with nothing may be a problem.

Have a rethink, is there a need to delete this info? who cares ?

If you want to try

find > replace $*.* (use the decimal point) with xxxxxxx ( i dont know if the wildcard will work)

Then run a macro to delete all the xxxxxx

open the document you want to search and press crtl+f to find certain wordks or you can click the replace tab then in the top field type the word or symbol you wish to replace in your case $

in the lower field type the word or symbol you'd like the $ to be replaced with and click the replace all button and that's it simple when you know how isn't it

You use something called 'regular expressions' to selectively replace something. In this case delete all dollar prices in brackets.
