I need to make a little house the hyperlink to the index, another slide in the same presentation. How do I do this?

right click on the picture, and choose "Hyperlink"

set "link to" as "Place in this document" and select the slide that you'd like to link to.

I don't use Powerpoint, but if it's like the rest of Office, there's a hyperlink icon. Select the picture, click the icon and you should be able to select something like "another slide in this document" as the target.

Right-click (or on Mac control-click) on the picture. From the pop-up menu choose Hyperlink. The Hyperlink dialog box will open. Type or paste the web URL into the location field and then close the dialog box.
