I can open files that are saved to my documents but when I am browsing the internet I cannot open pdf files. I checked and made sure that the acrobat pdf reader was enabled on internet explorer and also that it was selected as my default program but it is still not working. Also the file I'm trying to open can't be saved to my documents so I really need it to open in internet explorer thanks.

Word has associated its self to the .pdf file. Here is your fix. Right click on the file and select properties Click the change button where it says to open with Choose the adobe reader and press ok and apply. This should take care of it so long as you have adobe reader installed.
