You cannot completely remove Internet Explorer from Windows without fiddling with the registry etc.

The reason for this is that Internet Explorer is an integral piece of your operating system. It is required for such tasks as connecting to Windows Update. So removing it is not advised.

Instead, leave it on your system and try an alternative browser. It will do no harm to your computer to have more than one browser installer at once.

I recommend Mozilla Firefox: http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/

*edit*

If you cannot see the 'remove' button, try using Revo Uninstaller: http://www.download.com/Revo-Uninstaller/3000-2096_4-10687648.html

Assuming you have XP, you click on initiate, Settings, administration Panel, upload/eliminate courses and scroll down till you come across information superhighway Explorer 8. click to eliminate it. Then close the administration Panel, and restart the laptop so this variation will take result. it is going to revert back to IE7 or IE6, or besides the fact which you have earlier. And IE8 won't smash your laptop, even with the undeniable fact that this is tough to get used to. I have been given so disgusted with information superhighway Explorer that I went to Firefox and am I happy! it truly works superbly with my new Vista laptop and in certainty, worked only besides with the previous XP laptop. this is an exceptionally solid, properly completed, piece of application and is unfastened! they carry directly to date, so which you in no way would desire to situation approximately yet another IE8.
