dual core e5200 2.5ghz
4GB transcend ram@dual channel
Nvidia GeForce gt 520 1GB

I want to install windows 8,i have d min req. fulfilled but later i don't want my system slowing down because ill be using heavy AutoDesk and Adobe application. I fear the compatibility of the programs may match or not and also that it may hinder my performance.
I'll be help full if anyone who uses autodesk and adobe applications can tell me what to do and what are the alternatives.

Thank You in advance.

I use Adobe Master Collection CS6 and all of them work for me in my Windows 8 64bit Pro edition, this includes photoshop, dreamweaver, illustrator, after effects and premiere pro. I have no idea about Autodesk applications sorry.

Before you upgrade I highly recommend you first install the Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant as it will really help you in what may or may not be compatible before you install Windows 8:

There might be some programs that will come up as "incompatible" but will work with an updated version etc... the upgrade assistant should tell you this. If there are things shown as incompatible that you don't really use then I would in-install them before you upgrade. I also found that you can use some compatibility options that Windows 8 gives you and that you can still run those programs.

Some things to keep in mind is that you can only upgrade from the version of windows you have now to the same type of windows 8... eg you'll want to install a 64bit version of Windows 8. Also you might want to un-install your anti-virus programs because that can stop the install process. You should select to install "updates" when it asks you to ease installation. Lastly since you are running windows 7 you can choose to keep all your settings, applications and files etc... so you won't lose anything.

I'm very happy with upgrading to Windows 8, once I set it up as I want the performance benefits are well worth it imo....

-good luck!!

the least complicated way is to get a removeable HDD and 2 trays. shop each thing very seperate. besides the undeniable fact that, you could load diverse O/S on and use a third party application to opt for which working equipment. seem under and you will discover all styles of exciting issues. playstation . in case you get extremely deep in progression, i could propose applying a Virtural environment the place you could run diverse O/S on the comparable time and examine your compatibility.
