Question:
iOS 7 ISSUES! URGENT HELP PLS?
2013-06-12 06:47:09 UTC
I tried to update my iPhone to iOS 7 online and now I'm locked out of my phone. I can't enter because I'm not a developer, I can't restart, recover, or anything, because even iTunes blocked me out. Any suggestions? I've tried everything :(

If you want to help, and PLEASE DO, here's the link to my screenshots http://imgur.com/et70mWZ,ECfLwc1,f7XkhOk

You can still get it if you're not a developer. Go to this site: http://udidfree.net/ and get them to register your UDID. You can do it for free by using trialpay.com and you just have to sign up for a free trial of Hulu + or something like that. As soon as it's activated, you can cancel the free trial.

Once your UDID is activated, you just have to reboot your phone, and it should work fine. If you don't know what a UDID is, you can google it, but basically it's just Apple's way of making sure you're a developer, because only people with developer accounts can register device's UDID numbers.

Before you do update, you need to restore your phone to iOS 6.0-6.1.3. After that, you get the iOS 7 ipsw and update it through iTunes by Shift+Update.

what you need to do is attach your iphone to pc via usb, hold down the home button till you get the 'connect to itunes' bit, then restore from there

IOS 7 is currently only available for developers so that they can port their applications to the new platform. It is not for kids to try out on their one and only iphone or ipad.
