I am trying to save Adobe PDF files to my company's network and I keep getting the error message that says..."The file could not be saved, an I/O error has occured". What does this mean and how can I fix it so I can save these files?

Hello Chris.
Sometimes good software requires a new version of the program or downloading the updates on their website.
As far as the File I/O error; could be a number of things:
- Corrupted file
- Hard drive sector is bad
- Updates or Upgrade the software
Just have to try and start from the beginning. Re-install the program.

Hi everyone,
It appears Adobe produces several I/O errors but, in my case the actual error was "The document could not be saved. A file I/O error has occurred" (Adobe Pro 8.0). I received this error when I was trying to saved a PDF file over 2GB.
I identified the issue to be "Allow fast web view". This option does not allow the output file to be very big!
Solution:
From Tool bar select 'edit' --> References --> from Categories select "Internet"--> and deselect "allow fast web view"
Good luck, and I hope this should be the solution for others as well!

It happened when I tried to "SAVE AS" an AI file to a new Filename and closed the original File. What I did was I tried "SAVE AS" again to another Hard disk Partition from D:\ to C;\ noting that my Hard disk might be full or it might have some issues with the original file closed. It works! Now I tried it saving to the same Partition and Folder D:\My Documents and no more I/O error ..
