Why do my torrents always become inactive?

I use uTorrent.
Most of the time they don't even start downloading, they say they're downloading but it stays at 0% and then they move to the inactive category. I've tried several. Also, when you click on the torrent in uTorrent, the availability bar is always red. Why do they never download?!

Adding to james, The pirate bay is the best you could probably use always look for high seeders and quiet low leechers, it sometimes will still do the 0% but just go to a different torrent.

Try configuring your uTorrent.

Probably you are behind a firewall or something like that.

First check any firewall software like Windows Firewall and look for Block application utorrent. If blocked Enable it.

On the Connection settings you should enable uPnP. Also choose to randomize the port each start.

On your wireless/router you might enable uPnP option too.

Also try to set the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) on your router setting it to your ip address. Changing router config is a geek task maybe you should check with a nerd friend.

right i reccomend you get rid of utorrent and download vuze then get the search templates for it from btjunkie and kickass torrents vuze is a very powerful torrent client and will be good for you and seeders are there to help your download the more seeders the faster your downloads will be

Seeders are people who are making the file available, the more you have, the quicker the download.

1. no seeds
