I tried to get a link quick for what you ask. Its called

winter fun pack 2004 for windows xp

You can set up a changing desktop with any folders in my pictures or create a separate folder to include pictures of your choice.

Its easy to use and easy to change on each start-up or any time you wish. It will change your desktop at any time interval you choose from 15 minutes to 1 week. This is your desktop background not a screen saver. I use it and change it regularly.

sorry no link but search microsoft winter fun pack 2004 for windows xp and im sure you will find it.

WindowsXP has this built-in.

Put the pictures you want to use in My Pictures.

Then, right-click on the desktop.

cl Properties

cl Screensaver tab

cl the down arrow to "My Pictures Slideshow"

It is fun, but be aware that it will run in the background and you will find it consuming RAM and slow you down. Tried it for a while, then reset my screensaver and wallpaper to none.

If I read the question right, you want to setup wallpaper slideshow for background, and NOT as screensaver right? You can try to google "slideshow wallpaper" and download a 3rd party program that can do it for you. WIndowsXP cannot do it natively. I'm using a Mac so that feature is included with the Operating System.

Set up the pix you want to loop in your photo program, name it as a file...like 'Screen Saver Loop'. Right click your mouse while it is on your desk top. It will open up a dialog box. At the bottom with be 'Properties'. Click on it. That will take you to Screen Savers, Desk Tops, etc. Click on Screen Savers. Scroll down to My Photos, click. Choose the file you created as 'Screen Saver Loop'. It should then be listed in the choices of screen savers you have. Set it as your screen saver choice. Good luck.

Get Winter Fun Wallpaper Changer & put your favorite photos into the folder. Go to www.microsoft.com and search for Winter Fun Pack; wallpaper changer is included in the download. Just 'cuz it's called Winter Fun doesn't mean you can't use your own photos.

Save your pictures in 'My Pictures' under 'My Documents'.

Go into your screensaver settings and click on 'my picture slideshow'. Very simple.

Good Luck!

The solution is to make the picture smaller. Hope this helps :)
