You must download you drivers for your video card!

Go to nvidia.com if you have an nvidia video card or go to ati.com if you have ati video card!

GooD luck my friend! =)

(And the problem isn't Windows 7!)

If it still doesn't work try to upgrade your pc! :P

You could try running the System File Checker (SFC). The directions are here:

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

If the video is Flash video, make sure that you are running the latest version of Flash. Install then test the installation on the Adobe web site.

This problem can also be memory related. The computer may have a weak or failing memory stick. There is a memory diagnostics tool available through the Help files under the Start Button. Search for Memory Test and you will be lead to the test utility.

Since it only happens with video games, two things:

Either there's a conflict with your video card (the driver may need updating, or it's just not strong enough to pull the game's resources) or there's an issue with RAM (ie, you may not have enough RAM to pull this game's requirement).

On the blue screen, there is ALWAYS a reference to the file that is causing the blue screen. You're just paying attention to one thing (system has to be restarted). Look for what specifically it refers to and that will help you zero in on the problem.

In the meantime, I'd try updating the driver on your video card. To do that go to the website of the manufacturer of your card (nVidia, ATI, etc, whatever brand you have) and search for your model, and install the latest driver. Sometimes that's all that's needed here.

If you don't have at least 2GB RAM and a fast video card, you're going to get crashes with most games.

Microsoft makes Vista and residing house windows 7, so which you somewhat purely have 2 alternatives. And, pretty much all call-kind laptops contain a loose improve to (the two are continuously real) W7 besides. the main serious determination is Vista residing house complication-loose (organic junk) or Vista residing house top rate (good) OR residing house windows 7 residing house top rate (extra advantageous). Then, 32 Bit or sixty 4 Bit. BTW, W7 Starter is junk, too. So, end nerve-racking with regard to the residing house windows version, and concentration on picking a computing device that meets your particular computing needs. GAMING laptops value much extra (2 to 3 cases) than get entry to-point ones for a reason. this is all with regard to the pictures!

The problem is most likely an incorrect display driver. First you need to figure out who makes your video card and what model it is. After that, go to the manufactures website and click on support. Look for "drivers" or "downloads". Enter the information of your card and search for the driver. Make sure to choose the proper operating system. Either Win 7 32 bit or Win 7 64. Download and install.

If you cannot figure out the make/model of your card, download and install either CPU-Z or GPU-Z. This will tell you.

Hope this helps.

You need to have the correct codecs to play video. Windows needs these codecs, and they are not as standard in any version of Windows. For example you need a different codec to play an .avi file than you would to play an .m4v file. You can get AIO packs from the net for free, just be careful what you select the default player as.

Change to Winamp player, see if that does it.

If not, you're using resources ...a ton of them, and the problem has to lie with your processor. ...Logically.
