My Mozilla Firefox, Internet explorer and steam (Chrome is ok) have been acting very strangely the last few days. Every now and then I get a new tab opening with a fake adobe flash updater. I know it's fake as it's already up to date. Also, in Firefox when I go to some ordinary website it constantly says "connecting" and has a spinning/loading icon next to it even though the page has fully loaded and it says transferring data to "www.x" whatever sites. I've reinstalled the programs, disabled/removed add-ons, and also ran malware/virus software such as hitman pro, adwcleaner, RKILL etc and removed any programs I though might of been making this happen but NOTHING has helped the problem. I've also used a restore point from before the problem started but it didn't help.

Please don't tell me 'download and run' this that and the other unless you are 100% sure it will provide a solution to the problem.

Thanks in advance.

Use Google Chrome (there is no Yahoo Chrome). I'm using Google Chrome now because Mozilla Firefox very often messes up in the tabs.

Adobe Flash Player needs to be downloaded to the computer and installed from there and then rebooted. The one you down load in a web browser is only a plug in.

You have, at the very least,a browser high jacker. Clearly your confused. The problem is bigger than you can deal with, take it to a repair shop, before you get into real trouble.

You do not need to install or download. You need to do the opposite.

Please check, you may have installed any software along with those software (just like Search bars, etc.) Find that and uninstall.

However, you need to check the start up programs. :)

in cases of malware, these days, your best remediation is

- keep your data on a separate drive (use 2 drives, 1 for data, 1 for windows)

- zero-wipe and reinstall windows from scratch using recovery discs or real windows disc.
