You usually have the point to make it shorter. so 1.6ghz would be 1160. 2.6 is 2600, 2.0 is 2000 etc

With an AMD chip, the 2600+ figure is the approximate equivalent to an Intel chip of speed 2.6Ghz.
So basically your 2600+ is as fast as a Pentium 4 2.6Ghz, even though Windows reports it's a lower clock speed.

It is definitely 1.6 ghz. Amd uses a funky way of labeling their processors that can be very misleading. The 2600 is actually the model number. Check the link below for VERY specific details.

probly running at 1.6 but can be boosted up to 2.6 with a lil tweeking it probly go to 2.8 pushing it
