For Ubuntu 8.04.2 select and install the deb. package from the drop down menu http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04 have a built in installer and will prompt you to install when a page is displayed with flash content.

Most Linux Mint releases come with flash preinstalled.

Linux is a loose working device based under the GNU/Unix middle OS. You dont could desire to purchase it, (nor could desire to you) as that is thoroughly loose. Ubuntu is a stable Linux Distro (Distribution) first of all, that is rather difficulty-loose yet is likewise stable for stepped forward clientele too. I propose you seem up some difficulty-loose guides to linux as you would be able to desire to get perplexed. Alot of issues are command-line based and revolves around applications. There are actually not any .exe information in linux. as far as extra effective? Thats controversial. As a Programmer i exploit linux to attempt maximum of my programming, as that is a extra effective ecosystem to artwork in. additionally there are various issues you're able to do in *nix which you will't do in homestead windows, although I nevertheless save a homestead windows Boot in case i believe like enjoying video games (The Linux Video drivers are rather crappy). on the different hand you may't get any viruses, and you will learn alot as properly. so which you will constantly have the two with the alternative of twin Booting Linux and homestead windows.
