No. GarageBand is part of the iLife series of programs, which is made by Apple and will not be able to be run on a windows computer. You could try installing Mac osx and using dual-boot, but your question is specific to Vista.

Programs that are potential alternatives:

• Fruity Loops (Not free)

• LMMS (Free, used it myself - very good)

• Adobe Audition (Not free)

• Sony ACID Pro (Not free)

• Mixcraft (You mentioned it - free)

• Reaper (Not free)

• Cakewalk SONAR (Not free)

• LinuxSampler (Free)

• trakAx (Free)

• Ejay (Not free)

Garageband is Mac only, you really need a Mac computer to use it. Mixcraft might be a good alternative, check it here: http://store.eSellerate.net/a.asp?c=1_SKU92343920978_AFL6116112730&at=

You could also check some other options for making music on your computer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_audio_workstation

My favorites is FL Studio (Producer Edition): http://demo.flstudio.com

In case you end up getting FL Studio, you can get 10% discount on your first order from image-line with this promo link for new customers: https://support.image-line.com/jshop/shop.php?offer=Default&promo=BACJBAA468

Good luck!

slightly late yet in no way improve to Vista wait till you purchase a clean device and it particularly is pre-put in. only google the errors code and it will take you to an internet site the place it particularly is going to inform you waht the code capability and hoe to repair it (if achievable)
